To promote the release of their new book, The Best of McSweeney's, McSweeney's, Vulture and NY Magazine commissioned an animated adaptation of Mike Lacher's essay In Which I Fix My Girlfriend’s Grandparents’ WiFi and Am Hailed as a Conquering Hero.

I adapted the prose story into a screenplay and approached the visual style with a 16-bit pixel that meets Lord of the Rings atmosphere. H. Jon Benjamin (Bob's Burgers, Archer) was available and narrated the piece, which was a career highlight to direct him.
