In March of 2011, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my love of comedy. I logged my 10,000 hours writing sketches, performing improv, making viral videos, and even was head writer of a South Korean animated superhero show.

On July 21, 2022, I became a dad. With most of my free time now spent changing diapers, playing with trucks, and doing bath time, I no longer had the bandwidth or the energy to do anything after 9:30 pm. Late-night comedy shows were no longer an option.

But the heart wants what the heart wants, and my itch to perform led me to do stand-up comedy from my office to an Instagram audience of 60 people. I started my "show" Cont'd in the Comments, a lo-fi version of The Daily Show meets It's Nice That.

To my surprise, my follower count leaped to over 9000 in a matter of months. One video has over 275k organic views and others range from 6k to 140k. I even scored a like from Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram.

Bringing my years of content development, joke-writing, and art direction into one space is a culmination of passions I never thought would coexist.

I continue to post to my account @contdinthecomments in between work, childcare, and catching up on sleep.
